The Writing Path

A practice-based approach to writing and paying attention

The Writing Path is for anyone who wants to write.

You might be just beginning, or you might have been writing for years. You don’t need a publishing goal, and you don’t need to be published already.

This is writing as practice—a way of paying attention to your life, both inside and out.

The Writing Path is not something you complete. It is something you practice, return to, and live alongside.

Hosted by authors Patti Digh and Julie Gieseke

Three Parts of the Writing Path

The Writing Path unfolds through three connected practices:

The Writing Habit (Cohort 4 begins May 18, 2026)

Daily practice on the page.
A steady return to writing—not for output, but for paying attention. Writing becomes part of your day, something you live alongside rather than schedule around.

The Writing Exchange (Begins May 23, 2026)

Shared writing and hearing.
A community of writers who have been practicing together. Here, writing becomes relational—you write, you share, and you learn to hear others with care, clarity, and attention. For alumni of The Writing Habit only.

The Writing Recess (Begins June 20, 2026)

Rest, renewal, and creative replenishment.
A space for stepping back from pressure and returning to curiosity. Not more productivity, but more spaciousness. Not urgency, but renewal.'
