We've both been there. The class or retreat ends and we're back on our own. Sometimes we find local groups that feel "off" or clique-ish, that don't feel generous, but instead feel punitive. We stop writing or sharing. We grew tired of that loop and created our own writing community for ourselves and writers like us. Like you.
The Writing Exchange
is that community.
We have created a safe and challenging writing group for you. One where everyone believes in the possibility of the work--of your work and your voice, and their own.
Twice-monthly micro-craft workshops where we learn, write, and share. Recorded if you can't join us live on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 11am-12:30pm EDT / 8-9:30am PDT.
A private space where you can find resources, our schedule, recordings of all workshops, and a place to chat, share, and ask questions with other Writing Exchange members. Plus a monthly resource in your email inbox to continue the learning.
Serendipitous periodic writing pop-ups where we can all gather and just write together for 60 minutes.
We are two authors who also want a writing group we can trust, rely on, learn from, and laugh with.
We have spent years writing, publishing, and teaching writers. In retreats, workshops, online classes, and in-person. Always, at the end of a class or retreat, writers ask how they can find a writing group to join. We never had a good answer to that, until now.
We decided to create our own. Exactly the way we wanted a writing group to be.
And we called it The Writing Exchange. It starts in September 2026.
